Explosion & Weather-proof LED Flood Lights

WIMA extends voltage ranges for MKS 2, MKS 4 and MKP 2

WIMA metallized film capacitors have been extended by several new voltage ranges e.g. 400 VDC for WIMA MKS 02, 800 VDC for WIMA MKP 2 or 850 VDC, 1600 VDC and 2000 VDC for WIMA MKP 4. In addition to that several new capacitance values have been introduced for WIMA MKS 4 and WIMA MKP 2.

With metallized capacitors, thin layers of aluminum are vacuum-deposited on the insulating film as conducting electrodes. In the case of a breakdown, the short circuit current causes the thin metal layer to evaporate around the point of failure and an insulating area is formed. The capacitor remains intact (self-healing).

Metallized WIMA capacitors are available with Polyester or Polypropylene dielectric in PCM 2.5 mm to 52.5 mm. Capacitance values range from 100 pF to 680 µF and rated voltages from 50 VDC to 2000 VDC.

GEYER has improved Aging on all small Crystal models

From now on, GEYER manufactures all small crystal models with a reduced aging of maximum ± 2 ppm (aging first year). 

With this step, they consider the risen requirements regarding tight tolerance and improved long-term stability for crystals, especially for wireless applications like WLAN, Bluetooth, RFID and ISM band radio.  The improved specifications are available for all SMD Crystals in case sizes from 1.6 x 1.2 mm to 8.0 x 4.5 mm, prepared for applications for extended temperature ranges like -40 to +85°C.  These crystals conform to RoHS standards and are specified for reflow soldering in accordance with J-Std-020.

E-Mark Offers New Through-Hole Test Points

E-Mark of Shelton, CT, known for its wide variety of both SMT and through-hole test points, is pleased to announce the expansion of their test point offering with the addition of four new through-hole PCB test points.

Used to afford secure attachment of scope probes and flying leads to PCBs these four new test points vary in height from 7.4 mm to 14 mm and all are designed to fit a 1.0 mm hole in the PCB. The smallest one is offered in a tin finish while the three larger sizes are offered in a gold finish. All four test points are RoHS compliant and lead-free.
